A 99 Year Tradition

For nearly a century, the name Schottenfeld has been synonymous with fine carpeting. In 1912, M. Schottenfeld & son first opened its door in Brooklyn. As the business grew, under the leadership of Samuel Schottenfeld, quality became family tradition.

From the inside out, each generation has learned the properties of fabric, the advantages and disadvantages of manufacturing techniques, the complexities of installation and they learned that the carpet business is a
people business, with customer service being the most important product. When Marvin and Barbara Schottenfeld moved the showroom to Westchester, Floors Beautiful served both the retail and trade consumers.
